Wine Cooler

In the simmering heat of the afternoon summer sun, few things taste better than a glass of sauvignon blanc fresh from the wine cooler. Actually, a cold beer would be just as nice if you like beer and there is no law that says you cannot throw a couple of beers in the wine cooler but we digress. As the sun beats down on your sweaty brow, the wine cooler ensures that you do not have to drink warm wine. Another advantage of the wine cooler is that you can place it on your patio deck next to your chair and not have to move when you want a drink. You really do have to love a wine cooler.

Whoever invented the wine cooler must have loved cold wine. There are many ways to keep wine cold but few rival the simple elegance of the wine cooler. In really posh restaurants they use a wine bucket but this requires ice. A wine cooler is used more often in other restaurants and by white wine lovers who drink at their own home. When your friends pop over to take a dip in your pool, they will see the wine cooler and will immediately want to partake of the beverage being chilled in the wine cooler.

Yet another advantage of the wine cooler is the speed with which it can chill a previously warm bottle of white wine. If you buy a decent wine cooler and not some rubbish from the dollar store, your wine cooler will chill the wine quickly which is great if you are too stupid to pre-chill it for yourself or your guests. Warm white wine often makes people gag so to avoid this unsightly shambles, always keep your wine cooler to hand at all times.

Ultimately, if you like your wine cold and you like to sit on your deck without having to move or throw a barbecue with cold beer and wine, a wine cooler is your best bet. A wine refrigerator is good, but the versatile convenience of a wine cooler is hard to beat.
